Battenhall named finalist for two ‘best agency’ PR Week Awards

PR Week Awards Battenhall

News came out this morning that the 2015 PR Week Awards finalists have been announced, and we're over the moon to be shortlisted for two awards! We're finalists for Specialist Consultancy of the Year and also for Small Consultancy of the Year.

There are many specialisms in PR, and we can see we're up against the top brands from healthcare, technology, food & drink and startups. Our specialism is social media, so we'll be flying the flag for the internet on October 20th when the winners are announced! And we're a very young agency, so up against some pretty big and established brands in the Small Consultancy category too. Here's wishing the best of luck to the other finalists in both categories Dynamo, John Doe, Man Bites Dog, Manifest, Harvard, Virgo Health and William Murray!

Future trends in social media: slides from Public Sector Comms conference London 2015

Yesterday I had the privilege of speaking at the Public Sector Communications conference in London. The audience, senior communications executives from all corners of the UK and from across the public sector, battled through the train and tube strike that affected large parts of the UK and the event was buzzing.

Not everyone made it however, and I received a number of requests to share my slides online, so I have made them available now on Slideshare and you can skim through them below. They are intended to accompany my talk, rather than being online-only material, so you miss all my amazing banter, but I hope they are of use to readers from the public sector and beyond.

#PSCAwards, thanks for having me and hope to see you again next year. Photo courtesy of Craig Evry.
