Last year, Instagram introduced Carousel ads, a service that enabled brands to showcase multiple photos in one post to give advertisers more creativity in storytelling on the platform. Now, the photo sharing juggernaut has taken it one step further and is now enabling brands to showcase multiple videos in one post. From now, advertisers will be able to show up to five single videos in one post. Launch partners for the enhanced service include Airbnb, Taco Bell, Hollister and W Hotels to name a few.
Videos continue to be big business on social and in the last six months alone, Instagram has seen a 40% increase in views on the platform. With over 400 million active users who spend an average of 21 minutes per day on the platform, Instagram is showing no signs of slowing its growth. Only last week, CEO Mark Zuckerberg reported that more than 200,000 businesses were advertising on the platform each month.
With these enhancements to Carousel allowing for richer storytelling, we can expect this number to continue to grow.
